Privacy Policy

This page describes what happens on www.tollner.net itself, not on the third-party sites it links to. The description below reflects only what the build of this site actually does.

How Visit Counting Works Here

This site records a small amount of visit information, but only when a visitor arrives from a search engine. What gets recorded is limited to the page path, the type of event, the name of the referring search engine, and the text of any outbound button that gets clicked. This data is used solely to count page views and clicks on outbound buttons; it is not used for any other purpose.

To avoid counting the same page view twice, the site keeps one flag in the browser for the current session. This flag does not identify the visitor and does not persist beyond that session. The site sets no other browser storage and no persistent identifier, so there is nothing here that tracks a visitor across separate visits.

Every page on this site is self-contained: the files a page needs are loaded from this domain, with fonts embedded locally rather than pulled from an outside source. Nothing is sent to an outside host while a page is being displayed. The site itself is a set of static files served by a content delivery network, which processes the technical details of each request in its role as the hosting provider.

What Happens When You Follow a Link

Outbound links on this site point to third-party sites. When one of these links is followed, the click first passes through a path on this domain and is then redirected to the partner site. This first-party redirect does not carry any stored visitor data along with it — the destination site receives the request directly from the visitor's browser and keeps its own separate record of that visit.

Because of this, this site has no control over what a partner site does with the request it receives, and this page makes no claim about the privacy practices of any linked destination. Any activity that takes place after leaving this domain is outside what this page can describe.

What This Site Does Not Do

This site has no forms of any kind, so there is no field where a visitor could type in a name, an e-mail address, or any other personal detail. It has no login, no registration, and no user account, which means there is no personal data to store or retain in connection with an individual visitor. It uses no cookies, and it does not collect names, e-mail addresses, account identifiers, or payment details.

There is no third-party analytics running on this site, and no external subresources are loaded from anywhere else, which is why nothing is shared with an outside host while a page is displayed. There is no sharing of visitor data or personal data with advertising networks, data brokers, or outside analytics services, because none of those connections exist in the way this site is built. There are also no contact channels on this site, so no personal detail should be submitted here in the expectation that anyone will read or respond to it.

Taken together, these absences are the reason this site does not ask for consent, does not require an account, and does not collect personal detail: there is simply no mechanism present that would need any of those things.
